So yeah, ignore the broken aznunit index page. (for now). A new layout is being worked on, and it’s nearly finished. I’ll post the site-in-progress later today. I had to delete the old wordpress because it got f*#$ed up in the upgrade. Well, that’s the last time I haphazardly copy and paste files!
On moving: I’m going to be in Suriname for awhile. (It’s a country in South America, dummy!) I tranported the tools I use the most over here so I won’t be completely activity-free, and so nothing atrophies. More on that later.
The picture you see at the top is an illustration I did for Pytom’s “Moonlight Walks.” Although I’ve never played the game, it was the first Ren’py game ever, and I thought I’d pay Pytom and his engine a small tribute for, well, existing. Twilight wouldn’t exist without it. It took me about ∞ minutes. Details below.
Things learned from this experience / reiterated:
- Take entire picture, not just the character, in consideration when beginning the drawing. Otherwise interactions between objects could look wrong! For example, as Serithnal stated it so nicely for me, the hair looks like it’s cutting through the grass - as if it consisted of a metal substance. ;_; The dress isn’t being supported by the grass either.
- Also, sometimes it takes the third try to get things right. (The grass.)
- Draw more feet.
Things I’m proud of:
- Grass! I love this. Took me two or three tries to get the look I wanted, and finally stumbled onto a method!
- Drawing a girl with feet. The feet may be wrong, but at least I drew them!
- Sketching long hair and following through with lineart. I usually get lazy and just give them short hair.

I adore your rendition of Mary and I love the grass! =D
I think with this picture you have improved a lot =3 I’m looking forward to see more stuff from you!
And I added you to my blogroll~~ =P (you’re the only one there so far xD)
Thanks for the compliments.
Yeah, I felt the improvement too, and the grass was somehow tedious but fun. (Is that even possible?!) Mutual blogrolls it is! I gotcha on twitter, too.
P.S.: Hover over your link.
twitter stalker! >O *stalks back*
xDDD
Now you got me cravings to create a character who is a schoolgirl in cute uniform that secretly enjoys drawing ecchi stuff xDDD
Bwahahaha!
Excellent design and awesome job on the grass and flowers!
